As always, the main story is centered around the betrayal and revenge, with the main antagonist being the leaders and drivers from The House, a shady cartel that has managed to take control not only over Fortune Valley’s casinos and criminals but also cops and other officials. Set in the large open-world environment of Fortune Valley, the fictional version of Las Vegas, this game is centered on a singleplayer campaign that features not one, but three main characters with their own distinct set of skills and driving preferences.
More than two decades after this seminal game, NFS Payback has managed to continue the tradition of the first NFS and deliver to the games from all around the world the chance to create their own ultimate supercar and engage in hot pursuits against not only against the competing drivers, but also aggressive police forces.
